To support this mission, SimpliSafe is seeking a highly motivated, self-starting Corporate FP&A Analyst responsible for monthly consolidation of management and lender reporting, cash flow management, and ad hoc special projects. This person will look to leverage best practices of world-class FP&A functions, tailoring these to meet SimpliSafe’s needs as a fast-growing, agile company. The ideal candidate will have experience in building for scale and an ability to roll up their sleeves. No job can be too big or too small for the team driving strategic insight when you’re changing the industry!

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to our growth and help provide direction to our organization. You will join the FP&A team and will interact directly with the broader finance organization and cross functional groups. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a business-critical function in a rapidly growing, private equity backed company.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support development of the corporate FP&A and investor relations function, helping to chart the path for SimpliSafe’s growth as we continue to deliver on our mission of “every home secure”
  • Drive enhancements of tools and processes to enhance visibility, improve financial controls and efficacy, and aid in decision making
  • Facilitate P&L consolidation and the preparation of monthly performance reporting packages to be presented to key stakeholders including senior management, lenders, and Board of Directors
  • Assist in development and management of the Company’s long-range financial model to drive strategic decision making
  • Work cross-functionally to build monthly cash flow forecasts and define key working capital metrics
  • Form trusted advisory relationships with G&A functional leaders while providing budgeting, forecast, variance analysis and spend efficiencies
  • Provide support for financing and other corporate transactions, as needed
  • Streamline data gathering, reconcile and report out on weekly operational KPIs
  • Ad hoc special projects focused on driving wide range of process improvements for operational efficiency and value creation  

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a Financial Planning & Analysis a role; investment banking, and / or private equity experience a plus
  • Prior experience with consumer products / technology, subscription revenue models, ecommerce, and/or supply chains will be valued
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently and accurately produce and clearly communicate financial analyses
  • Rigorous attention to detail and excellent organization skills; takes a thoughtful approach to auditing own and others’ work; comfortable producing error-free work product for senior / executive level stakeholders 
  • Exceptional financial modeling skills required; demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint, and data analytics
  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting and three-statement financial statement modeling
  • Self-starter who can take on significant responsibility and drive process change independently
  • Intellectual curiosity and a passion for problem solving
  • Willingness to adapt and excel in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment 
  • Team player with an exceptional work ethic
  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA or CFA a plus
