What You’ll Do
SimpliSafe is seeking an experienced marketer to join our growing Customer Experience, Marketing & Loyalty Team. Our goal is to create an unparalleled customer experience, and we’re looking for a Customer Marketing Manager to propel our work forward. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, project managing, and executing strategies to increase customer loyalty and engagement through personalized, timely and persuasive multichannel marketing. You will leverage your creativity, email knowledge, and customer insights to drive strategy, execution, and performance of customer marketing programs, focused on optimizing the impact of customer touchpoints through continual experimentation.
Primary responsibilities include
- Translate insights across the customer journey into hypotheses that inform the creation of new multi-channel marketing tests
- Develop motivating marketing briefs that clearly communicate insights and objectives while overseeing creative development with our internal creative team, ensuring deadlines are met
- Develop prioritized testing roadmaps and manage marketing calendar to continually improve our retention-driving marketing initiatives
- Manage campaign performance reporting by working with analytics and ESP partners to monitor trends, identify areas for improvement, and document learnings from experiments
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Operations, Strategy, and Engineering to gain strategic alignment, and prioritization, on initiatives to bring your creative ideas to life
- Serve as an ambassador of our brand, ensuring our emails are on-brand and in-line with overall brand strategy
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of proven experience in email marketing, ideally in Braze
- Expertise in multi-channel customer marketing campaigns, including education, retention or lifecycle management preferred
- Previous experience in a subscription-based business is a plus
- Excitement for uncovering key insights about our customers, and experience translating insights into clear marketing briefs
- A sharp eye for evaluating marketing creative and a passion for testing and optimizing communications
- A data-driven continuous improvement mindset. Strong background in running experiments, analyzing relevant key metrics, and developing recommendations
- HTML/CSS knowledge and technical capabilities to build and QA/troubleshoot email development
- Strong interpersonal skills, as this role is highly collaborative in nature across the organization including copywriters, designers, analysts, and developers
- Strong organizational and self-starter skills to support juggling multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- BA/BS degree (or equivalent work experience), Master’s degree (or equivalent) a plus
