What You’ll Do

The Compensation & Data Analyst plays a crucial role on our People team. Their primary mission is to collect, structure, analyze data and create reports for the various People team processes/initiatives. With a powerful blend of stellar reporting acumen and sharp analytical skills, they arm the People team with the metrics and insights needed to implement and measure the impact of innovative programs that are in the best interest of our employees.  

In addition to data analysis, the Compensation & Data Analyst will help define best practices for data governance across our People systems - from how we collect data, to how we store it, and most importantly, how we automate for efficient access, reporting and analyses. This role also includes audit and analytical support for our Total Rewards and Payroll function.

Primary responsibilities include: 

People Data & Reporting

  • Act as a subject matter expert for our HR tech stack, data flows and processes working closely with key partners in HRIS, Finance and IT. 
  • Create and maintain People data tools, reporting and dashboards; produce and deliver standard  (monthly, quarterly, and annual) and customized People data reports
    • Example reports include: DEI reporting, attrition, badge/attendance data, and monthly payroll reporting for Finance
  • Respond to data requests on an ad hoc basis by gathering, analyzing and reporting relevant data  from various sources
  • Collaborate across the People Team on projects and initiatives through data analysis and leverage data driven insights to identify areas for operational improvement 
  • Support the development of presentation materials with relevant data, visuals, and storytelling
  • Act as a steward for people data, including maintaining data integrity by ensuring the accuracy and consistency of input data; regularly auditing data and  troubleshooting irregularities.
  • Assist with the configuration and maintenance of the time and attendance and payroll modules in UKG Ready. Recommend and implement enhancements, develop training materials for users, and partner with teams across the organization to ensure best usage and experience for our employees

Payroll

  • Ensure accurate, timely and efficient processing, calculating and payment of bi-weekly payrolls
  • Perform monthly payroll close duties, including the preparation of period-end accruals and monthly journal entries for all payroll and benefits, reconciliations of payroll registers to the general ledger, etc.
  • Assist Payroll Manager in implementing and enhancing best-in-class payroll policies, procedures, and internal control policies
  • Assist employees with payroll questions and create materials and training to educate employees on payroll and pay statement topics

Total Rewards

  • Assist with annual compensation surveys and other ad hoc market pricing
  • Assist with Rewards & Recognition program data analysis
  • Help with ad hoc benefits data analysis 

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience with multi-state payroll
  • Ability to use data in an impactful way to tell a story
  • Strong knowledge of and demonstrated ability with optimizing enterprise systems: HRIS, ATS, LMS, or performance/engagement systems a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Highly detail oriented and organized in a fast-paced environment
  • A proven performer who is motivated, focused, passionate, and inspires confidence in employees and senior management, and
  • Highest level of integrity in all dealings with people inside and outside the Company, exemplifying high moral and ethical behavior
  • Experience with Tableau a plus 
  • Experience with UKG Ready suite a plus
