About the Role

We are looking for an experienced data engineer to join our machine learning team. In this role, you will drive the design and implementation of an integrated system to manage data curation, data annotation, annotation quality and dataset composition. If you have a passion for data, automation, cloud technology, and delivering high-impact solutions, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable MLOps solutions related to data
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to architect scalable solutions to ML data delivery workflow 
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines for ML data, ensuring seamless integration and delivery
  • Manage cloud infrastructure, primarily in AWS or in specialized data annotation platforms to support ML workload
  • Design database schemas to support data exploration
  • Advocate for best practices in version control, data stewardship, and monitoring

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or a related field, with at least 3 years focused on data operations or data infrastructure
  • Skill in developing organized systems in highly unstructured settings
  • Strong knowledge of AWS or other public cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP)
  • Solid SQL knowledge and experience
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Formation)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, and familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Solid understanding of ML lifecycle management, including experiment tracking, versioning, and monitoring

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Ray
  • Experience with AWS Big Data stack, Athena, Glue, S3, EMR
  • Experience with distributed systems and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop)
  • Familiarity with tools such as MLFlow
  • Background in data security and compliance, particularly in cloud environments
  • Effective communication skills for working with cross-functional teams
