Manager Financial Planning & Analysis, Customer Acquisition

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented FP&A Manager for our Acquisition (Hardware) segment who can develop insights into the financial health of the segment and formulate actionable recommendations. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to our growth and help provide direction to our organization. You will join a small but growing Financial Planning & Analysis (“FP&A”) team and will interact directly with cross functional groups and executive leadership. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a business-critical function in a hyper growth, private equity backed company.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Works with company leadership to build annual / quarterly budgets and financial operating models to improve the Acquisition segment’s ability to effectively plan and manage resources
  • Develops and builds analytical models which aid in executive decision making
  • Supports the Acquisition segment with proactive ROI analysis and assistance. Identifies areas that will benefit from increased analysis and proposes viable solutions and alternatives
  • Develops, tracks, and analyzes Acquisition segment KPIs to identify business trends and help instruct key executive decisions
  • Assists in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages to be presented to key stakeholders including senior management, the Board of Directors and top-tier private equity ownership group
  • Potentially provides supporting analyses for company financing and other corporate finance transactions
  • Supports growth of the FP&A function within the organization

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 3-6 years of Corporate FP&A experience at a fast-paced consumer products company, with a focus on manufacturing / sales and operations planning (S&OP); prior investment banking, PE or consulting experience will be highly valued
  • Engineering experience within e-commerce, manufacturing, consumer electronics and / or SaaS businesses a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree with excellent academic record, CPA and/or MBA desirable
  • Strong financial and cost accounting skills preferred; experience with ROI, cost control analysis, profitability analysis, KPI development, and business modeling
  • Demonstrated high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and data analytics
  • Outstanding analytical skills with rigorous attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills both orally and written with the ability to summarize financial analyses concisely and thoughtfully
  • Self-starter who can take on significant responsibility with little supervision
  • Team player with an exceptional work ethic; leads by example and interested in mentoring and developing junior FP&A team members; experience managing a team a plus
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced and rapidly changing work environment
  • Intellectual curiosity and a passion for problem solving
