What You’ll Do

To support this mission, SimpliSafe is seeking a highly motivated, self-starting Financial & Operations Planning individual to support the eCommerce and Customer Acquisition functions within the broader Go-To-Market (GTM) organization. This role will also provide supplemental support across G&A functions and play a key role in driving financial visibility, planning rigor, and strategic insight across some of the company’s key important growth levers.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly analytical, and brings a strong ability to partner cross-functionally. This role requires someone who can build scalable processes while also diving into the details to inform decision-making. In this role, you will contribute directly to shaping the financial strategy behind our customer acquisition and digital commerce investments, working closely with cross-functional partners and executive leadership as part of a collaborative and evolving Financial & Operations Planning team. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with eCommerce and Acquisition teams to define, measure, and optimize financial performance across key growth channels
  • Along with Financial & Operations Planning team, act as a trusted advisor to GTM stakeholders, providing data-driven insights to inform investment decisions and strategy
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly close processes for eCommerce and paid media
  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate marketing efficiency, customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), and return on investment
  • Drive accountability to financial targets by monitoring performance against budget and proactively recommending corrective actions
  • Support pricing, promotional, and conversion optimization analyses in partnership with eCommerce teams
  • Provide supplemental Financial & Operations Planning support for couple G&A functions, helping drive cost discipline and financial visibility
  • Build and enhance reporting packages for senior leadership, including insights on growth drivers and performance trends
  • Assist in preparation of materials for executive leadership, Board of Directors, and private equity stakeholders
  • Ad hoc analyses as needed

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 4–7 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, preferably supporting eCommerce, marketing, or acquisition functions
  • Experience in consumer, DTC, or eCommerce environments strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of marketing and acquisition metrics (e.g., CAC, LTV, ROAS) and their financial implications
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and operate as a strategic business partner
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights for executive audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with FP&A tools (e.g., Adaptive) and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong attention to detail
  • Collaborative team player with a desire to build and improve processes
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree a plus

The target annual base pay range for this role is $141,600 to $207,700.

This target annual base pay range represents our good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this role. We use a market-based compensation approach to set our target annual base pay ranges and make adjustments annually. We carefully tailor individual compensation packages, including base pay, taking into consideration employees’ job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and other relevant business factors.
