The Role:
We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on People & Culture Advisor to join our team on a maternity cover contract. This role will play a key part in attracting great talent, supporting our people through every stage of the employee journey, and ensuring our People processes run smoothly.
You’ll take ownership of recruitment activity across the business, provide day-to-day HR support, and help create a positive, engaged culture where people can do their best work.
What you’ll do
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for a range of roles across the business
- Write and post engaging job adverts across multiple platforms
- Screen CVs, conduct initial calls, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers
- Support hiring managers in delivering a great candidate experience
- Prepare offer letters and contracts, ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new starters
- Build a talent pipeline to support future hiring needs
Employee Relations & HR Support
- Act as a first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries, providing advice in line with company policy and employment law
- Support with employee relations cases such as probation reviews, performance discussions, and investigations
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in line with GDPR requirements
- Assist with HR audits and ensure files, systems, and documentation remain compliant
- Support with offboarding processes, including exit interviews and leaver administration
- Assist with Learning & Development activity, including scheduling training sessions, tracking attendance, and maintaining records of employee development plans
People Projects & Engagement
- Contribute to People & Culture initiatives including wellbeing, engagement, and recognition programmes
- Help organise company events and team-building activities
- Support communication and feedback initiatives, ensuring all employees feel informed and valued
- Assist with policy updates and continuous improvement across People processes
What you’ll need
- CIPD Level 3 qualification (or working towards it) or equivalent experience
- Experience in employee relations and recruitment within a People or HR role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a confident and approachable manner High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Good understanding of confidentiality and GDPR requirements
- Knowledge of UK employment law
